Now you have. β β(And yes, Mum approved of the new look π )
β
You see - at the start of each year, Maddy (my partner) and I undertake a process called: β βGrand Master Planning. β It's a life mastery process that prompts you to answer dozens of questions across all 7 major areas of your life. β
β And it's tough work. β It forces us to snap out of auto-pilot and deeply reflect, discuss, and decide in what direction to take our lives.
Q55 under the Health section reads as:
β
My response to this question is usually along the lines of: β β"I'm a-OK and love it as it is"β β But while completing my 2025 edition, I didn't feel like providing that response again. β I was feeling an itch to evolve. β Or "reinvent" myself. β Even though we've returned to the same house we lived in before going overseas in 2024. β ...we felt that something was different.
We were different.
And how we viewed ourselves was different.
So similar to how artists continue to evolve across their careers. β I knew it was time for me to do the same.
After an hour of Pinterest mood boarding for "Blonde curly afro" inspo.
And a hair colourist referral from my barber.
I locked it in an appointment with Tyrone.
Saturday. 10am.
β
And after ~3 hours of 3 rounds of application.
(And a scalp that was tingling from the bleach)
I came out feeling - same, same...but different :)

A human being always acts and feels and performs in accordance with what he imagines to be true about himself and his environment... β - Dr. Maxwell Maltz, author of Psycho-Cybernetics
β This quote helps me re-orient whenever I'm entering a new season of life.
Rather than solely focusing on what I need to "do".
I instead focus on who I need to be.β β βBe β Do β Have β βBecause your own self-image is a powerful compass that'll guide you on the "do"-ing. β So Reader, I'll leave you to ponder this for a moment after this email: β βWho do I want to be in 2025 and beyond? β βChat soon,
Mamba β
