Hey Reader,
Starting over isn't easy.
A new city, new job or a new routine - it can feel like climbing a mountain for the first time.
After being overseas for the last year, we just moved back into our Brisbane home, and I fell into the trap of trying to do and over-optimise everything at once.
ππ½ Meditate daily
ππ½ Set up my studio.
ππ½ Unpack every box.
β
ππ½ Workout 3 times a week.
β
ππ½ Drink 3L of water per day
β
ππ½ Walk 10,000 steps each day.
Realistic?β
β
Heck no.
ββ
Overwhelming?
β
βYou bloody bet.
Then I remembered a concept that James Clear (Author - Atomic Habits) shared:
Set the bar so low itβs impossible to fail.
Want to hit the gym?
β
βForget the perfect routine. β
β
Just walk inside, look around, and leave.
Thatβs it.
Once youβre there, your brain will say:
β
β"Well, might as well do something."
And boomβyouβre in motion.
I tested this with my home gym.
5 minutes. No pressure.
Within minutes, I picked up weights.
Did a few curls.
Then a few more.
Same with meditationβjust 10 minutes.
No more, no less.
It worked.
β
Momentum beats motivation.
So Reader, if youβre in a season of change, donβt go "all in".
Go tiny.
Start small.
Because once you start, youβll want to keep going.
I hope this email serves you,
β
β Mamba
